“ If youre craving kbbq in the east bay, I definitely recommend Hungry Cow. I usually dont eat kbbq outside of LA because its hard to beat anything outside of it however this place didnt disappoint. I would say it could definitely hang with some LA locations. The restaurant is super clean and new, the premium cuts were bomb other cuts were normal but go with the premium cuts, and the service is exceptional. Our server, Norah, was a gemshe guided us through the menu, recommended the best cuts, and even grilled the first round to perfection. Her friendly and attentive service made our first visit unforgettable. Highly recommend Hungry Cow for a fantastic KBBQ experience! ”

“ This is currently one of my favorite kbbq spots! I forgot our waiters name it started with an M, but he was very attentive to our table, gave us suggestions on how to best eat certain meats, and even occasionally would cook the meat for us, which was much appreciated! As for the meats, we tried most of the beef cuts and enjoyed the following Angus Handcut Short Rib both original and marinated, premium brisket, sliced bonein short rib, and beef belly. My friend was very pleased with the quality of banchan they offered. As for starters and sides, we were big fans of the bone marrow, fried calamari, and deep fried buns with condensed milk. Looking forward to the next time we come back! ”

“ On a chill Monday evening, after a solid push day, my lifting buddy and I were craving some meat. We decided to go to an AYCE KBBQ place and Hungry Cow was at the top of our list. Still relatively new, we have been eager to try this location after hearing a lot about it. Overall, we were very pleased. There was essentially no wait time and we got sat quickly. Left on a very spacious table, we tucked in to the banchan as our server, Mark arrived to help us out. The banchan was solid and had good variety, but nothing spectacular and the fish cake was super sweet. We then decided on the platinum menu which gives you a lot more options for just 10 dollars more than their gold menu. As our server recommended we got a few different cuts to start like the Galbi, and wagyu brisket. These first meats were great and super tender. The servers here also cook for you if requested, making it super easy to dine here. As the meal went on, Mark stopped by with a special sauce which was a perfect pairing with the meats. The last few meats werent nearly as good, like the filet mignon, or the scallops, but overall I still really enjoyed many of the options. Not to mention, they have free Melona ice cream and dessert at the end of the meal. Ill definitely be back at some point. ”

“ I normally rate restaurants at the end of my reviews. But for this one I felt like I needed to give them a rating first? Why? Because its so damn good for KBBQ. I would give this place 6 out of 5 stars! I came here on a Friday around 530pm. At that time, the park lot was quite empty and my friend and I were seated quickly. They only allow RSVP for 6 people or up, but for parties less than 6 people, you can put your name down on Yelp to reserve your spot in the waiting list. I suggest that you should either come here before 6 or place your spot on Yelp at least an hour prior to your ideal time for dinner. Around 7 PM you may have a hard time finding a spot. The place is big and has many servershelpers. Its like overkilled but theres a reason for it. This place only allows you to do BBQ for 1.5 hours. In order to efficiently use the time to eat, they have many servershelpers to do things. Once you order food with a server or a tablet hanged on the wall, they bring food to you in less than 2 minutes!! Yes I timed them. its about 90 seconds. They also have someone to change a new and clean BBQ plate inside the pot very consistently. Just based on these services, I can tell you that they are on top of everything! They were pleasant and quick. Now about food quality and the prices. There are two prices which are 39 and 49 dollars. We were celebrating my friends birthday, so we both chose 49 dollars because it had more options. We ordered Angus hand cut short ribs marinated, American wagyu beef brisket, Angus beef ribeye steak, Angus beef filet mignon steak, Beef Rib finger, Beef tongue, Bone marrow 4x, pork belly, and and scallop. The quality of beef was EXCELLENT. Why could I tell? The beef was fresh and juice. EVERY ONE OF THEM. you could taste it because the beef was not frozen for a long time and when you bit it, it was not chewy. Of course it also depends on how you cook the beef. The more cooked it is, the more chewier. The fat in the beef was nicely spread. The portion of the certain beef was BIG. Its not other KBBQ places where they give you small portions or slice the beef thinner. Not this place! I really liked everything that we ordered. The beef that I liked THE MOST and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND is the one that wrapped like a ball and placed on the board. I think its Angus Hand cut short rib marinated. Its so juicy and big portion. This beef was the reason why I rated this place with an extra star! Umm.. bone marrow was good too, its not too much oily, so we had ordered 4 of them. Um the Scallops, they were soft and fresh. Soft? Yes. It was not frozen or not too long. You definitely can taste the freshness. I didnt try shrimp, but based on their quality of food so far, I would think that shrimps should be good as well. To be honest, speaking of it, its making me hungry and I just had dinner. Besides that they consistently changed the BBQ plate, they also provided individual small butters and small cubes of fat that I could use to make the food tastier and the food wouldnt get stuck on the plate. I was so full to the point where I wanted to throw up. SO GOOD. However, I managed to pick one of the popsicles which was coco flavor. Yes. The desserts there were also unlimited, as I was told. I could grab one more as I was exiting, but I couldnt... too full... I was served by a young gentleman named Justin who also came by periodically to check on how I was doing. EXCELLENT SERVICES! I definitely will come back... thinking about next Saturday. Lol. Please keep up the good work! Especially on the quality of beef. haha. ”

Meats came out almost immediately after we ordered it and people were around to change the grills regularly. Time limit is displayed on the screen so keep in mind when ordering. “ A kbbq place i actually like and would return, finally! Ambiance 5 They have a full bar with yummy drinks for the long wait! Cool smoke decor and robots to bring over the meat. Food 5 We got the Platinum and wow all of the quality of the meat was top notch! Perfect marbling on the meat. As part of the set, they bring out Bone Marrow with toast and for someone thats meh about bone marrow enjoyed it thoroughly. Loved their rice paper, kimchi fried rice, all of the side dishes, and honestly all of the meat we tried. Service 5 Drew was so attentive to our table switching out the grills numerous times. They also have an iPad, which the server will give you the code after getting seated. Drinks 4 They have a lot of the classics like AMF, Long Island, etc. but they also have their specialities. We really enjoyed the White Gummy but all of the drinks we tried were yummy. One downside is the restroom is currently broken so theres portapotty outside but very clean! ”
